New Works ...

NS coast.JPG

My inspiration from Nova Scotia...

This first painting was of my second day hiking a coastal trail - my first sighting of the Atlantic ocean.  The second, a view of the village at Peggy's Cove where the fishermen come in with their bounty.

Both are acrylic on canvas.

The magnificence of the ocean.

Many artists have painted the infamous landmark of Peggy's Cove.

I thought I'd put my acrylics to work capturing a night scene at full moon.

On the beautiful shores of Lake Ontario

(Prince Edward County).

This commissioned painting of 10 x 20" Acrylic on canvas will hold on to the memory of the visit to Grandma and Grandpa this summer

Who doesn't look at an old barn and wonder about their history, their secrets and how they are still standing.

Here are 3 beautiful old barns well know in Prince Edward County by locals and other admirers.

Above 18 x 24" Acrylic on canvas, the 2 on left 12 x 12".

All 3 paintings are SOLD.

After admiring the work of some of our local photographers, last winter I reached out to a few of my favourites for permission to paint using their photos for reference.  Thank you  Mary-Deborah Finch,  Jason Pettit and Cathy Caley for your talent and inspiration. Monochromatic, acrylic/canvas. (#1 & 3 sold)

Being a fanatical dog lover/owner, I've always wanted to try painting pets, but it was too intimidating.  This past year or so I've decided to face this fear and give it a shot.  Here are 5 commissions completed for very happy customers! All acrylic.

Thank you Willie, Leroy, the 3 Amigoes, Henrie and Dexter.
